Winners of the 2010 Fiction to Film Contest
Congratulations to the winners of the 2010 Fiction to Film Contest!
The 2010 Fiction to Film Contest was a collaboration between The Storymatic and Chochkey Productions. Entrants submitted their Storymatic-inspired stories for a chance to have their work made into a short film. A panel of writers and filmmakers judged the entries, and they are pleased to announce the following winners:
Grand Prize
• $250 cash
• The grand-prize winning script or screenplay will be made into a short film produced by Chochkey Productions
• 10 DVD copies of the film
• The film will be entered into two independent film festivals.
And the winning story is…
ONE WAY OUT, by Kyle Petersen
In only 300 characters, Kyle creates a world of danger, blackmail, secrets, and violence.
Kyle is a writer based in Santa Cruz, California.
The film of ONE WAY OUT will be shot this fall.
2nd Prize
• $150 cash

When Celine’s modeling career comes to a dramatic close, she tries to return to the family she has forsaken… but will they accept her back?
Jarvis is a high school senior in New Orleans, Louisiana.
3rd Prize
• $100 cash
A STROLL DOWN 12th STREET, by Mallory Sommers
Mary Jane is not the little angel Officer Wright thought she was… not at all. Not even one little bit.
Mallory just started her first year of college in Florida.
