Max Henderson, “Domestic Things”
Carlus M. Henderson is a recent graduate of Marlboro College where his undergraduate thesis was an examination of black masculinity in the works of William Faulkner and Toni Morrison, as well as a collection of short stories. A native of Augusta, Georgia, Max was raised in Greenwood, South Carolina. He has studied at SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities and is the recipient of the 2004 NFAA Gold Award in non-fiction. He has led writing workshops in Springfield, Mass. and at the Putney School Summer Arts Program. He splits his time between Vermont, SC, Georgia, and Louisiana.
